LIBRARY-: Library provides a welcoming learning environment for students and staff; supports the school’s aims and curriculum; encourages the love of reading and the development of students’ independent learning skills. Opening Hours ; The library is open every school day from 08 a.m. to 02 10p.m. Library Periods : According to the school timetable, the students of Class VI-X11can visit the library for the issue and return of the books during their library periods. They can read reference books, periodicals, and e-readers during this time and also participate in library activities. Borrowing information :Students 02 book for a period of 02 weeks Faculty and staff Maximum 05 books for a period of 01 month. The users should submit their Library cards for the automated circulation of books. Class libraries are functioning for classes I to V. LIBRARY AUTOMATION: Library is fully automated. The stock and services are provided through E.GRANTHALAYA software. The software is provided by National information center, Deptt. of information technology.Govt of india.

   It   is located  inside the armyCampus.  
     It is situated in the heart ofAmritsar.  The vidyalaya is affiliated to 
Central Board of Secondary Education,New Delhi .

seeking excellence and innovation through high quality educational

 OUR MISSION:  KVS has a four mission viz:--
        1.To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of
*Indianness" among children.
2.To cater to the educational needs of children of  transferable central
Govt . programme of education.
3.To persue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education.
4.To initiate and promote experimentations and innovations in edu-
     cation in collaboration with other bodies like CBSE, NCERT,etc.

        Opening Hours: The library is open every school day from 08 a.m. to 02:10 p.m.

Borrowing information: Students:02 book for a period of 15 days. Faculty and staff: Maximum 05 books for a period of 15 days.


Class Libraries: Class libraries are functioning for classes I to V.


Open Access and Classification: The library follows an open access system. The books are classified and shelved accordingly.


Library Automation: The stock and services of the library are automated powered by e-granthalaya software provided from National Informatics Centre, Department of information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India. The software has been designed by a team of experts.


Library Periods: According to the school time table the students of Class VI-XII can visit the library for the issue and return of the books during their library periods. They can refer books and participate in library activities during this time.
